The sun had set and my trek for over a kilometer through deep mud and water to this tiny island on Lake Eyre was well rewarded. The 'tidal' lines that abound the island's shoreline were amazing in their detail and formation. The nuances of the desert wind's interaction with this tiny island were also amazing. I was attracted to this composition by the skeleton of the dead shrub washed up in the shallows to provide further interest in the image.
