This old jetty with it's beautifully textured and weathered timber no longer serves its purpose for man. But now acts as a great perch for shorebirds such as this cormorant as it rests between hunting forays in the shallows. I loved the soft pastel hues and warm light on the well worn timbers that seem to really bring them to life.
