On a cold foggy morning I finally got an opportunity to shoot this image, one that I had endeavoured to capture several times before without much luck. I needed the elements of a thick fog, morning, a very laarge tide and the disconnected bit of jetty to have the birds on it. Previous attempts with these elements aligning saw the birds take flight before I completed my photography. So with great satisfaction I now see the vision I had in my minds eye come to fruituion in this image.
