I was in Hobart for a week end away to celebrate my partner's birthday. My only request for the 4 days was to shoot dawn up on Mt Wellington on the Sunday as I thoguht that was a good chance of some overnight snowfalls. We made our we up in the dark and initially the summit was cloud capped. We continued up and I wandered about in the -2C and 50km/h winds looking for that break in the mists. Right on cue just as the sun peered over the distant cloud bank on the horizon the cloud momentarily cleared and I got my image. Later back down the mountain having breakfast I could see that it was once again cloud capped. As they say, "You'vegot to be in it to win it" I'm glad we got up early and it all came together.
