I had taken numerous 4WD tracks out into the vast realms of outback Queensland and finally got to my destination of this seldom visited quartzite range. The country felt very similar to WA's Pilbara region with itsharsh landscapes vegetation. Before dawn I made the trek up to a notable rocky outcrop where I sat and waited for the light. As I sat I could here everything for miles around me and eventually my eyes would spot the grazing kangaroos that I could hear a kilometer away. A special moment indeed.
