 I'd spent a considerable time trying to shoot an image on this particular dawn, but with drizzle showers moving through continuously the sunrise itself was pretty much a non event. The geology here in the far east of Gippsland is quite spectacular so it was this that I most wanted to portray in my image. Hopefully this representation of the tilted sedimentary layers of stone appearing to mystically rise out of the misty ocean captures what and how I saw it well enough to evoke the viewer as well.
