I had 'found' this location about 4 days earlier and was determined to get back to it with some golden light. It was an extremely warm walk upo this mountain side that is far steeper and higher than it looks here in this panoramic image. It consists of all rock and scree with this patchy dry grass on top and had been baking in the 35C+ temperatures all day so there was some decent radiant heat coming off it too. Out of a mountain side of Grass trees it actually took quite some time to find a compostion that I liked and that featured an extra special speciman. In the end I feel really happy with this result.
