This is one of those occasions when as a landscape photographer you repeatedly return to a location until you get what you had envisaged and wanted. I first shot this scene and light some 10yrs earlier and had ventrured back countless times with my medium format 6x17 film camera to better my first attempt. Despite my best planning and forecasting I didn't get that lucky again until this particular day in early 2010. So I shot countless frames like a man possessed so that I could stitch together this final image.
