It was 1:30am Christmas morning and an intense lightning storm moves in from the NW, I wasn’t about to miss this spectacle, so I headed out to photograph it. As it turned out it was one of the most spectacular lightning shows that I have seen anywhere in all my years of photographing thunderstorms right across Australia. At this moment in time 3 simultaneous bolts pound into Bass Strait in the vicinity of Phillip Island’s Cape Woolamai.
