The towering dolerite columns of Cape Raoul are well worth the 15km return walk. On this occasion the conditions were atrocious with the winds gusting over 60knots, I found a semi sheltered spot and precariously set up my gear on a ledge hundreds of meters high. I waited for the sun to dip further and peek through the low cloud base and worked feverishly to get my shots. I wasn't exactly sure how it would all come together until I got back home and processed it - I am very happy with this result.
