Bethanga bridge was built in 1930 linking NSW and Victoria, at a time between wars and of the Great depression. and is a classic example of industrial architecture from that era.

On this particular sunrise the air was thick with smoke which evoked my senses back to what it may have been like in those days and of the watercolour paintings and images that I had seen of these darker times early in the the 20th century (especially in Europe). I hope that this mood has been portrayed to the viewers of this image as well.
