I had headed of over 100km's NNW of Tamworth in NSW's north to an area of possible convection. Storms did develop and lash the area, but sometimes what you are looking for in particular is not always the ultimate prize. On this occasion the beautiful rural country that I saw through the less seen part of the state and the light after the storm, not the storms themselves were the highlight of my day.
